SUMMER DISCOVERY CAMP · AGES 4–8
A summer to make,
notice and imagine.
A proposed holiday experience built around hands-on projects, shared stories and the pleasure of trying something new.
A taste of the experience.
Make a little world
Use clay, paper and safe found materials to create a small scene. Explain who lives there and what might happen next.
Become a nature detective
Observe shapes, surfaces and changes with adult guidance. Record a discovery through drawing or conversation.
Bring a story to life
Invent characters, try voices and movements, and work with others to tell a short story.
AN ILLUSTRATIVE SESSION
A rhythm with room to explore.
01
Arrive and connect
A welcoming starter activity and a simple introduction to the day’s idea.
02
Try and create
A guided project with choices, materials and space to experiment.
03
Move and collaborate
A movement or shared challenge adapted to the group.
04
Share and reflect
Talk about what changed, what was enjoyed and what could be tried next.
Proposed format
Two weeks, Monday to Friday. Planning session: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM.
Age-appropriate groups
Enquiries for ages 4–8, with groups for ages 4–6 and 7–8 where enrolment and staffing allow.
Who can enquire
Families already at TRICEF and children from other schools can enquire, subject to suitability and availability.
Before the adventure begins.
- Confirm dates, venue, fees and exactly what is included.
- Discuss allergies, support needs, emergency contacts and collection arrangements.
- Review the material list, food arrangements and suitable clothing.
- Read cancellation, refund and rescheduling terms before payment.
This is a proposed programme. Registration is not confirmed open. No trip, transport or meal service is included unless separately confirmed in writing.

EXAMPLE EXPERIENCE STRANDS
A camp with variety and purpose.
Make and imagine
A mini makers’ studio can include clay, recycled construction and large-scale collaborative art. Children can choose materials, describe an idea and revisit it with adult support.
Explore and discover
Simple investigations with water, light, leaves or safe everyday materials can invite prediction and observation. Activities should be selected for age, conditions and available supervision.
Move and connect
Action songs, group games and story movement offer variety across the session. Quiet choices and rest opportunities matter alongside active experiences.
Share the experience
A small display, conversation or take-home creation can help families understand what children explored without turning camp into a performance competition.
Your camp booking checklist
- Confirmed dates, session hours and age group.
- Named contact and the actual venue.
- What materials are included and what your child should bring.
- Personal-care, food, allergy and authorised-collection arrangements.
- Written fee, cancellation, refund and batch-change terms.
Activities are illustrative and may change with age, staffing, venue and conditions. Ask for the final batch outline before booking.
