THE EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE
A day made of meaningful moments.
The rhythm matters as much as the activity. This sample journey explains our educational intentions; the team will confirm the actual timetable and facilities for your child’s programme.
A SAMPLE PRESCHOOL JOURNEY
From a warm hello to a thoughtful goodbye.
Arrive and belong
A familiar welcome and a simple first activity can help children move from home into the group. Share any important change with the educator.
Explore and investigate
Children might build, sort, draw or pretend. An adult can extend an idea with a prompt such as “What could make your bridge stronger?”
Share language and ideas
Stories, songs and small conversations offer ways to listen and participate. Pointing, gestures and home-language contributions can be a bridge into shared expression.
Move, pause and care for ourselves
Movement and personal-care routines belong alongside learning. Ask how the programme provides water, snack breaks, toileting support and appropriate play opportunities.
Remember and reconnect
Returning to a drawing or talking about something noticed helps children revisit an experience. Home time is an opportunity for an agreed handover.
WHEN YOUR DAY IS LONGER
Daycare has its own rhythm.
Additional care should be planned around the child’s needs rather than simply extending a classroom session. Discuss relaxed play, food, rest, personal care and collection for the complete day.
